With personal suggestions and help from Homes To Go, here are the best Michigan cities to have a spring break staycation.

Ludington could be the perfect option for a brief staycation. While it may not be beach weather just yet, it offers excellent views of Lake Michigan.

Besides the beach, you can take lighthouse tours or peaceful hiking trails at Ludington State Park.

Traverse City in March means fewer tourists but just as much fun! You can take a scenic drive through the Leelanau Peninsula, visit a winery (or four!), and unwind at any cozy lakeside inns.

Plus, you can take the whole family to Great Wolf Lodge for a fun spring break staycation.

It is the perfect way to welcome spring Michigan-style.

It would be remiss of me to not mention Grand Rapids. With "a myriad of cultural and recreational opportunities," Grand Rapids has plenty to offer from hiking, paddling, diving, or simply relaxing at the Amway Grand.

As the weather continues to warm up, Grand Rapids becomes alive. John Ball Zoo's Lantern Festival is coming up soon with the perfect timeline for spring break.

Homes To Go recommends Ann Arbor, especially if you are an art lover.

"The city prides itself on gorgeous historic buildings and the University of Michigan of course. The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum features at least 250 exhibits. Nightlife comprises restaurants and pubs where you can unwind and appreciate the city."

Wherever you choose to go for your Michigan staycation, you will not be disappointed.
