The Michigan State Police gave a reminder to WWMT about clearing off your vehicle, with more snow on the way.

As WWMT reports, State police want you to remember that if you don’t clear the snow off your car (like your roof) and it becomes ice or flies off in a white-out and does damage/injury, you’re responsible for the accident.

“According to section 257.677a of Michigan Vehicle Code, drivers are liable for any snow, ice, and slush that may come off their vehicle if not cleared.”

The WWMT story also gives the reminder, if you must get out of the house, don't forget to clear off your headlights and taillights too.  And drive slower; that's just my advice.
