It's two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas, who most recently played with the New Orleans Pelicans, joining the Grand Rapids Gold. The team, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, made the announcement Monday.

According to Fox 17, Thomas is set to make his debut for the Gold on Wednesday, December 15. It's a home game for the Gold at the DeltaPlex in Grand Rapids, where they'll take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

A ten-year NBA veteran, the 5' 9" point guard was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2011. He has played for many teams since, including the Gold's parent team the Denver Nuggets, along with the Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards.

The Athletic's Shams Charania shared the news to Twitter, saying that Thomas has a close relationship with the Gold's head coach, Jason Terry. Terry is a former Dallas Mavericks guard and it is his first year coaching the Grand Rapids team.

According to Yahoo Sports,

Thomas averaged 18.1 points and 4.9 assists per game throughout his career. He hasn’t played in more than 40 games in a season since he averaged a career-high 28.9 points per game with the Celtics during the 2016-17 campaign.
