If you have no clue about the Grand Rapids Gold team, here is a little bit of information.
The Grand Rapids Gold is the NBA G League team that is affiliated with the Denver Nuggets.
Grand Rapids Gold Dance Team
The Gold team hired former Drive Dance coach, Ashley Kaman, as the new Gold Dance Coach.
Ashley is not new to the Grand Rapids scene. She has also coached at Aquinas College, Kenowa Hills High School, and Rapid City Dance Factory.
Ashely shared in the press release that,
"I'm so excited for the return of the dance team to the Grand Rapids GOld. The dancers will bring another level of excitement and fan engagement to the game day experience. As the only professional dance team to perform at Van Andel Arena, we anticipate a great turnout of talented dancers at our tryouts this August."
How To Audition
Dance tryouts are happening at MSA Woodland on August 5th and 6th with cuts being made on Day 1. You have to be invited to Day 2 of tryouts.
Tryouts are open to both men and women who are 18 years old or older. If you pay the registration fee before August 5th, it is $35. If you pay on the day of the tryouts, it will cost you $55.
