New Alger Heights Ice Cream Shop Offers Vegan, Dairy-Free Options
Looking for a new spot to grab a sweet treat? A new ice cream shop is now open in the Alger Heights Neighborhood of Grand Rapids!
Heights Cream is located "downtown" Alger Heights, between Brass Ring Brewing Company and Alger Hardware, with walk-up window service on Eastern Ave.
They've got all the summer time favorites: soft serve ice cream, hand-dipped cones, sundaes, flurries, slushies, and shakes. Heights Cream's hand-dipped and soft serve ice cream comes from Moo-Ville Creamery, a family dairy here in Michigan. There are over 70 hand-dipped flavors that rotate; any given day you'll have your choice of nine of them at Heights Cream.
For those who are lactose intolerant or vegan, Heights Cream also has vanilla and chocolate almond-based Silk soft serve, as well as dairy free hand-dipped flavors from Moo-Ville.
Flurries are my favorite! So I wanted to check out what sort of sauces and toppings they offer:
- Hot Fudge
- Chocolate Syrup
- Strawberry Slices
- Peanut Butter
- Cookie Dough
- Brownie Bites
- Cheesecake Bites
Yum! Here are some photos of the hand-dipped ice cream flavors and other frozen treats at Heights Cream!
I can't wait to try Sea Monster! It's sea salt caramel ice cream with Oreo chunks and cookie dough bites mixed in -- that sounds AMAZING!
Heights Cream is open Monday- Thursday 11a.m. to 9p.m., Friday- Saturday 11a.m.-10p.m., and Sunday 12p.m.-9p.m.
