Nike will be bringing back a classic basketball silhouette this summer with the upcoming re-release of the Air Max 2 Uptempo '94. Made famous by NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, the sneakers have remained as one of the most acclaimed sneakers from the Swoosh, with the brand pushing the silhouette heavy in 2017.

Following last month's Triple White release of the Air Max 2 Uptempo ’94, the Swoosh continues its push of the popular silhouette by announcing the re-release of the original shoe's colorway. Constructed of nubuck, mesh and a premium leather upper, the sneakers feature hits of black and white throughout the canvas and midsole, while royal blue accents give the pair of sneakers the proper color touch. To complete the overall look, Nike adds the signature, clear Air Bubble unit on the heel of each shoe.

It’s been 22 years since Nike debuted the Air Max 2 Uptempo ’94. Since then, the brand has released the sneakers in an array of colorways, with several new iterations from the brand inspired by the look of the basketball shoe.

The Nike Air Max 2 Uptempo '94 is scheduled to release at Nike Basketball retailers and accounts starting, Sat., July 1, for a suggested price of $140.
