The Grand Rapids Police have arrested a suspect and seized their vehicle following a hit-and-run Saturday night that left two pedestrians dead.

A 56-year-old man and a 56 year-old-woman, both from Grand Rapids, were crossing the street at Grandville Ave. and Oakes St. at 11:13 p.m. Saturday evening when they were hit by a vehicle.

The victims names have not been released.

Around 11:15 a.m. Sunday, the GRPD announced that they had arrested a suspect and located the black sedan that they believe was involved in the accident after receiving a tip from the public.

Anyone with information about this incident is being asked to call Grand Rapids police or Silent Observer.
