I wish this story came out during Women's History Month. The last documented African-born Woman Slave transported in the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade has been identified. What's significant about this? Until her accounts of being sold into slavery at the age of 12 and forced servitude in Dallas County, Alabama, there had been no complete and descriptive story of women in slavery. Just bits and pieces. Powerful article.
