Two Groups Of Undercover Detroit Police Officers Brawl During Drug Bust
This headline may seem like it is satire, but we assure you, it is not. In an Eastside Detroit neighborhood that is known for it's drug activity, two groups of undercover police engaged in a turf war on Thursday, November 9th.
An internal investigation into the incident is underway after it officers from two different precincts engaged in a fistfight on the lawn of a stunned resident.
Officers from the 12th precinct were running a "push off" operation where officers pose as dealers and arrest prospective buyers. That's when undercover officers from the 11th precinct showed up and presumably tried to purchase drugs for a sting.
The confusion caused officers from both precincts to order one another to the ground and after more officers from the 12th precinct arrived as backup, guns were drawn and a fist fight ensued.
