A Wyoming Michigan woman won't be receiving any mother of the year awards but will get 20 to 80 years in prison for the death of her infant son.

According to WZZM-13, Lovily Johnson, mother of Noah Johnson, left her son in a car seat in an attic bedroom of a home for over 32 hours. No word if he was just left completely unattended or if she checked on him.

Noah Johnson died back in June of 2017 and was only six months old. His mother had told police she was smoking marijuana while the infant was in the car seat. Not sure how someone could be smoking only marijuana for 32 hours and leave a defenseless child unattended.

Originally Johnson was charged with murder and child abuse in the case. Unfortunately the jury was unable to reach a verdict. Johnson's defense team said that the little boy may have died from other causes.

Johnson made a small apology in court after being sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison for the death of her infant son.
