
Woman’s Death Near Downtown Grand Rapids Ruled Suicide
Around 9:30a.m. Saturday, March 18, police were called to the intersection of Lafayette Avenue and Michigan Street NE near a Spectrum Health parking ramp.
Originally officers were dispatched with a report of a possible shooting, MLive reports. Upon arrival, police were notified a woman's body had been found by a passer-by.
In initial reports police said they they were not actively looking for suspects.
They have now determined the cause of death to be suicide. Police say the 34-year-old woman jumped from the roof of the Spectrum Health parking lot.
