WorldStarHipHop founder Lee “Q” O'Denat died of natural causes. An autopsy report revealed that O’Denat's death was a result of morbid obesity and severe plaque buildup around his heart.

Investigators found a severe buildup of plaque in O’Denat cardiovascular system and a metal stent near his right coronary artery, according to the Los Angeles Times. O’Denat, who weighed 345 pounds at the time of his death, also had an enlarged liver and fatty liver disease.

O’Denat passed away on Jan. 23 at a San Diego massage parlor. Following a 30-minute massage, a masseuse found O'Denat slumped over and unresponsive. Paramedics arrived and attempted to revive him with CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The site he founded issued a heartfelt statement to confirm the news of passing.

“Q was a brilliant businessman who championed urban culture, ultimately creating the largest hip-hop website in the world,” WorldStarHipHop said in a statement. “But more than that, he was a devoted father and one of the nicest, most generous persons to ever grace this planet. We will miss his hearty laugh and warm spirit. WorldStarHipHop will continue in its various endeavors. We ask that you remember Q in your prayers and raise a toast to the sky in his name.”

O'Denat was a controversial figure due to the crude content hosted on WorldStarHipHop's site. Still, O'Denat's influence was undeniable and many of hip-hop's biggest stars paid their respects after learning of his death.
