Wood TV 8 reports that the dogs were stolen sometime either June 12 or 13. The breeder saw photos of the dogs for sale online and contacted local police, who reached out to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

The puppies were located Monday at a residence in the 900 block of Leonard Street near 8th Avenue in Tallmadge Township. All of the dogs had been microchipped. It was confirmed they were the ones stolen from Ohio.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office a 41-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter will likely face charges in connection to the theft. Police are working to figure out how the dogs were taken and transported to West Michigan.

I had no idea how popular and expensive French Bulldogs were until Lady Gaga's dogs were stolen earlier this year. Apparently each of these dogs are worth approximately $6,000.

The bulldogs, which thankfully were found in good health, were taken to Harbor Humane Society in West Olive to be picked up by their owner. Jen Self-Aulger, the Executive Director of Harbor Humane Society, tells WWMT-3,

The gentlemen that came and picked them up were extremely nice and extremely happy to get their puppies back.

Aulger says that dog thefts have been on the rise in West Michigan:

We have people in our area that are stealing puppies or getting them from stolen sources and then flipping them. That’s really scary and I think people should be aware of that.
