131 Was Shut Down Because of a Loose Cow

If you were stuck in traffic on Northbound 131 Wednesday near Wayland, did you see the cow that was causing all the commotion?

According to Wood TV 8, the wayward bovine was spotted shortly before noon.

MDOT shut down the highway while Michigan State Police troopers worked with the owners of the cow to wrangle it. Northbound 131 near 135th Avenue reopened around 12:40 p.m.

No accidents or injuries were reported.
