A candidate running for city council in Marysville, Michigan, actually answered a question about diversity by saying she wants to keep her city white "as much as possible."

According to WZZM, Jean Cramer is running for city council in Marysville, Michigan and was asked a question about diversity in the city Cramer said, "Husband and wife need to be the same race. Same thing with kids. That's how it's been from the beginning of, how can I say, when God created the heaven and the earth. He created Adam and Eve at the same time. But as far as me being against blacks, no I'm not.

Marysville has a population of nearly 10,000 residents and over 90% of them are white.

Another candidate who is also running, Mike Deising said, "Just checking the calendar here and making sure it's still 2019." Other candidates who are running were also very troubled by Cramer's comments.

Maryville City Mayor Dan Damman responded to Cramer's comments as being "vile" and "jaw dropping."

Councilman Paul Wessel said, "anyone who makes it to Marysville should be allowed to live there.

Hopefully those casting their votes will make sure Cramer never see's a council seat let alone get voted to hold the position.
