SpartanNash is the latest company to make grocery shopping faster and easier for people.

The company just launched "Fast Lane" pickup at their Family Fare store in Grandville. The concept is part of their click-and-collect program, where a person can order the groceries they want online and pick them up curbside. According to a press release on their website, SpartanNash plans on expanding the service to 25 Family Fare stores in Michigan by the end of the year. The announcement of these stores is expected in the next few weeks.

Vice President of SpartanNash said in a statement this "Fast Lane" pickup service...

...is tailored to fit the needs of our on-the-go store guests, while providing quality products at an affordable price.”

Once a person places what they want to purchase, a Fast Lane shopper will go and get the items you requested. Customers will also be able to leave specific notes for shoppers, for example, if you want an avocado that is ready-to-eat as opposed to an unripened one.

In the same way that people have to pay a membership fee with Shipt, customers will do the same with "Fast Lane." Annual memberships are $99/year, and monthly memberships are $16.95/month. Individual orders have a $9.95 pickup fee. However, unlike Shipt, SpartanNash isn't looking for personal shoppers as they will already be Family Fare employees.

Orders can be made here and you just have to sign up with your 'yes' account to begin. And as a way to celebrate, your first three won't include a pick-up fee. And if you're like me and try and use a coupon every chance you get... good news because coupons will be accepted!

SpartanNash currently operates Family Fare in nine states and hopes to have "Fast Lane" in at least 50 of those stores by 2018.
