Looking for Land? Michigan’s DNR Is Selling 95 Plots Throughout The State
Maybe you have a dream of owning your own plot of land one day. Or, a second spot somewhere outside of the city you can escape to.
These days with the insane housing market, it can feel like you'll never have a place to call your own. But, you don't have to give up on that dream just yet.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has an offer that could land you your own slice of Michigan soil. They've got almost 100 pieces of land up for grabs in their upcoming surplus auctions starting next month.
These parcels include lakefront properties, riverfront properties, and some lovely vacant forested areas. All together there are options in a dozen counties in the Lower and Upper Peninsulas.
And yes, you can even own part of your own beach in Allegan Co with a starting bid of $71,000:
They plan to do auctions based on county. This will make it easier for you to find land in a specific area of the state instead of having to attend every one in hopes you'll find something that works for you.
