Kendrick Lamar has the approval of Louis Farrakhan. K. Dot had a meeting with the Nation of Islam leader, who praised the MC in a message on Instagram.

"I was very honored to meet and talk with my powerful brother and Hip-Hop artist Kendrick Lamar," Farrakhan wrote. "The Cultural Revolution is On. • #Farrakhan #KendrickLamar."

Kendrick's conversation with Farrakhan occurred during a busy week for the Top Dawg Entertainment rapper. The Compton native is set to release his much anticipated album, DAMN., later this week. Last Friday (April 7), Kendrick announced that his LP would drop on April 14.

Since then, Kendrick has added to the hype for his album by unveiling the cover artwork and tracklist. The cover features a picture of Kendrick with "DAMN." above him in red. The tracklist revealed that DAMN. will feature 14 songs with guest appearances by Rihanna and U2. The Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Cardo and DJ Dahi are some of the producers involved in the release.

Kendrick's new LP already has plenty of momentum thanks to the success of the lead single "Humble." The track debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the highest-charting song of Kendrick's illustrious career.
