Lake effect snow doesn't go away because the calendar says it should.

Marquette received about three inches of snow last night when a cold north wind passed over Lake Superior. So if you were wondering, can lake effect snow happen in the spring, the answer is clearly, 'YES!'

The cold in the Marquette area set a record Thursday for the lowest recorded high temperature in the are at 39. More lake effect snow showers are expected today, with cold settling in for the weekend with highs staying in the 30s.

It makes our blustery weekend here in GR seem a little less cold, doesn't it?
