Meijer Gardens to Welcome 12-Millionth Visitor Tomorrow
Who would have thought that, in just 24-years, the Meijer Gardens would attain such "destination site" significance. But, it certainly has, and tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17, they are getting ready to welcome their twelve-millionth guest, expecting them around 12 Noon.
The organization has seen record attendance since opening the Richard & Helen DeVos Japanese Garden in 2015 and during this year’s Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition. Meijer Gardens is currently undergoing at $115-million expansion project titled Welcoming the World: Honoring a Legacy of Love.
One of the world’s most significant botanic and sculpture experiences, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park served 696,000 visitors in 2018 and was recently listed in the top 30 most visited museums in the United States by The Art Newspaper, the leading publication in global art news.
Congratulations, Meijer Gardens!
