Has things gotten so bad that eggs cost an arm and a leg??

When I was at the Meijer on Alpine, I was devastated to see the cost of eggs.

Now, it seems like Canadians may be trolling us.

Did you know that Americans are crossing the border to buy eggs from Canada? It makes sense why they are trolling us now.

3.77$ in Canadian dollars is equivalent to $2.60 in United States Dollars.

According to News Nation, the last time that eggs cost around 2 dollars was in January 2022. Eggs are so cheap in Canada because the farms are smaller and more spread out, so diseases (like bird flu) do not jump around.

Can we go back to 2022 please thank you?

With inflation and the current rise of bird flu, it has been extremely hard to find reasonably priced eggs in the United States, specifically in Michigan.

From all social media channels, the complaints are rising daily. So when Canadians are posting about their egg prices, it makes sense why people are hopping over the border for their egg fix.

However, keep in mind that it is not legal to smuggle eggs into the United States without the proper permits to do so.

Before you travel for your egg craving, be sure to check for any temporary restrictions. If there are no active temporary restrictions, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service shared that U.S. travelers can "bring back personal-use amounts of eggs or egg products from Canada."

So, if you are in an egg pinch, you may be able to handle your problems in Canada.
