Who loves Chick-fil-A?
I get it completely! They have great food. Have you ordered delivery recently?
If you have, you may entitled to some cold, hard cash.
Chick-fil-A has reached a $4.4 million settlement in a class action lawsuit after the company allegedly falsely advertised its delivery service.
Top Class Actions shared that,
"Chick-fil-A reached a $4.4 million settlement in a class action lawsuit claiming the company advertised free or low-cost delivery of its food but then raised the prices of products only for delivery orders."
How Do I Get The Pay Out?
Chick-fil-A has agreed to put aside $1.45 million in cash and another $2.95 million in gift cards to give to the customers affected by the price increase.
In the settlement, emails of all of the customers affected have to be sent to the settlement administrator who will contact all class members.
"The parties agreed to do both a website and direct email notice system to inform potential class members of the Chick-fil-A settlement. Chick-fil-A agreed to provide email addresses to the settlement administrator in order to inform class members."
Each member will be eligible to receive up to $29.95 as a refund or $29.95 in Chick-fil-A gift cards.
Earlier this year, the fast food chain had a data breach that exposed the personal and financial information of over 71,000 customers, they have figured out the best way to get each member's information.
"The settlement claim form will only require a name, email address, phone number and certification that the person is an eligible class member seeking to participate in the Chick-fil-A settlement."
