Muskegon Charity Is Breaking Bread For A Great Cause
We all want to make our community a better place, but sometimes it's not as easy said as it is done. The Muskegon Rescue Mission is offering members of the West Michigan community to join them to break bread and make a difference.
Muskegon Rescue Mission will hold its annual Fill the Bowl Luncheon on Tuesday, February 15th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fricano’s on Muskegon Lake, just off Western Ave.
And not only will you get to have an incredible lunch, you'll be helping Muskegon Rescue Mission with their work. According to their website, "Muskegon Rescue Mission is one of the oldest ministries in West Michigan serving individuals and families since 1907. Their goal is to "demonstrate and proclaim God’s love to the less fortunate and homeless people of West Michigan. We have provided food, shelter, clothing and spiritual direction to those in need.
MRM serves men, women and children from all walks of life. Individuals and families come to us seeking help. We also receive referrals from the Department of Human Services, churches, community agencies, police, area businesses, and individuals. Guests primarily come from Muskegon County, however, there are no geographic restrictions."
The event is not only billed as a luncheon to raise money, they'll also be hosting a networking event for those who want to make a difference, and they'll have drawings for giveaways to help raise more money for their cause.
If you'd like to help the Muskegon Rescue Mission outside of the luncheon, volunteer and donation opportunities are available and you can find those listed on their website.
