A Milestone for Boston Square: New Clinic Brings Vital Care to Grand Rapids Neighborhood
Residents of Grand Rapids’ Boston Square neighborhood celebrated a significant milestone on Thursday, January 16th with the opening of a new health clinic inside the HUB 07.

Located at the corner of Kalamazoo Avenue and Ramona Street, the HUB 07—short for “Hope, Unite, and Build” paired with the neighborhood’s 49507 zip code—is a 45,000-square-foot facility designed to serve as a community anchor.
This is a huge win for the Grand Rapids area, especially the Boston Square neighborhood.
The need for improved local healthcare access has been a key focus for Corewell Health, which spearheaded the clinic’s creation.
Here are a few of the services that will be offered at the new clinic:
- Well child checks
- Adult wellness exams
- Sick visits
- Blood tests
- Coordination of care, and referrals to specialists
- Ultrasound for Injection Capability (i.e. joint injections)
- Health screenings (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol)
- High blood pressure prevention and management
- Vaccinations
- Virtual appointments
- Wellness and physical exams
- Women’s health exams (excluding prenatal care -referrals offered)
The care providers will specialize in
- primary care for both adults and children
- Gynecology
- Pharmacist for prescription adjustments
- addiction medicine
- lifestyle medicine
Nurse Practitioner Quiana Scott-Ruffin, a Boston Square native, has been named the clinic’s primary care provider. For Scott-Ruffin, the opportunity to serve her community is more than just special. It is deeply personal.
“I remember what it was like for my mom, just to have to take us downtown for the doctor’s appointment. But something right here that’s less than a mile, a five-minute walk—it is so needed,” she said, her voice filled with emotion.
The health clinic is only the beginning! There is so much more on the horizon for the HUB 07. Over the next year, the HUB 07 will welcome 15 businesses and organizations offering early child care, adult education, job fairs, and after-school programs.
The clinic represents a significant step forward in reducing health disparities and fostering a healthier, more connected Boston Square neighborhood.
