According to the GRPD, it was reported that a vehicle plunged into either the Grand River or Plaster Creek southwest of downtown Grand Rapids Saturday night.

Fox 17 reports that rescue crews were dispatched around 9:15p.m. to the 1300 block of Market Avenue SW, near the waste-water treatment plant.

Along with police, a forensic team, a dive team, and a tow truck were all on the scene. For a period of time, Market Avenue was closed between the I-196 exit and Godfrey Avenue SW.

As of 10:15p.m., the vehicle had not been recovered and no injuries had been reported.

Wood TV 8 reports that poor conditions halted the search; the search is set to resume on Sunday.
