St. Patrick’s Day Events In Grand Rapids. Erin go Braugh!
St. Patrick’s Day is the feast day of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. According to the US Census, 30.4 million US residents claimed Irish ancestry in 2019. "If you're lucky enough to be Irish, you're lucky enough!"
St. Patrick's Day 2022 is on Thursday, March 17. Travel Michigan suggests these celebrations.
- Flanagan’s Irish Pub - Located at 139 Pearl Street, Grand Rapids, you can enjoy their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration with live Irish music, drinks and food. The pub posted to Facebook on January 2 2022,
"If you attended last year, we split the day into time blocks to make sure everyone was able to attend. This was because of capacity and time restraints. Guests were positive about the concept though and we are considering doing it again. If we were to do it again the blocks of time would be longer this time around."
- O’Toole’s Public House - Located at 448 Bridge St NW in Grand Rapids. They offer Guinness on tap, Irish whiskeys and crowd pleasers like the Filthy Tater Tots, Truffle Grilled Cheese and their delicious Reubens.
- Grattan Irish Pub - Located at 11817 Old Belding Road in Grattan is a friendly neighborhood pub with a large, from-scratch food menu. They begin the celebration on Friday March 12 & Saturday, March 13. On, Wednesday, March 16 & Thursday, March 17, they will be serving "Grand-ma Patterson's" Corned beef and cabbage and green beer.
- Irish on Ionia Festival - Grand Rapids, 2022 Cancelled. Toted as Michigan's largest St. Patrick's day street party located in downtown Grand Rapids, this year's event isn't happening. The web-site says,
"Top of the morning to ya!
Due to our current status of the pandemic in relation to mass gatherings and the public health considerations of our city, we have no choice but to cancel IOI again this year. We are working cooperatively with our city partners and local health officials to consider a street party in the future when it is safe."
"May the road rise up to meet you"!
