The 2017 Juno Awards aired Sunday and it's not surprising that Drake, The Weeknd and Kaytranada all won big, given the exceptional year they've each had.

The Canadian awards show honored Drake with the International Achievement Award (he hosted the award ceremony back in 2011), largely based on the massive success of his 2016 album, Views.

The Weeknd's 2016 hit album, Starboy took home R&B/Soul Recording of the Year, beating out Daniel Caesar's excellent 2015 offering, Pilgrim's Paradise and PARTYNEXTDOOR’S PARTYNEXTDOOR 3. Although Drake won a major award, his Views album did lose Rap Recording of the Year to Jazz Cartier's Hotel Paranoia.  Kaytranada, who had breakout success in 2016, took home Electronic Album of the Year for his fantastic, genre-bending offering, 99.9%.
