There is a New True Crime Podcast About West Michigan Murders
With the increase in popularity of true crime podcasts (In the Dark, Felonious Florida, and Up and Vanished are a few of my personal favorites) there's now one dedicated to murder cases in West Michigan.
Fox 17 reports that "You're Killing Me, Grand Rapids", was created by two friends, Dara Garvin and Kenny Cutler.
The pals met at a bar in 2011 and "immediately bonded over their love of true crime and local lore". They've decided to share that mutual interest with the world by creating a podcast.
So far, they've released three episodes, each covering a different high-profile murder case in West Michigan, spanning from 1910 to 2011.
Cutler told Fox 17, "We’re about to do our fourth episode and we are nowhere near running out of stories. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”
One recent review states,
"Kenny and Dara are the perfect duo to shed light on the dark underbelly of Grand Rapids."
"You're Killing Me, Grand Rapids" is available on the their website and Apple Podcasts.
