If you thought that Instant Pots are only good for cooking, you might be surprised to hear that it is the latest piece of technology being used to help keep people safe during the pandemic.

Not only can your Instant Pot cook a whole chicken in under 30 minutes, it can now kill COVID-19 on your masks in under an hour.

The University of Illinois recently announced that you can use electric cookers to sanitize N95 masks.  The discovery came when a couple of researchers were looking for easy ways to sanitize masks at home.  They found out that electric cookers like Instant Pots and rice cookers can be used to sanitize masks.

The sanitization process will also work on other masks that can't be washed in a washing machine or by hand.
