4 Ways To Celebrate Big Sean Day
Happy (belated) Big Sean Day!
Back in 2017, Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones gave Big Sean a certificate that established June 29th as "Big Sean Day."
According to sources, Big Sean also became the youngest person to receive a key to the city of Detroit. The last two people to receive a key to the city were Berry Gordy and Stevie Wonder.
How You Can Celebrate Big Sean Day
1. Meditation
Big Sean (and his girlfriend/ rumored baby momma, Jhené) is a big advocate for mental health and meditation. He told E! News that he
"close[s] my eyes, I concentrate on my breathing. I visualize myself getting to feel the light and connecting to a higher power. I take 10-15 minutes, then I go down there and start vibe-ing out."
Take a moment today to sit and meditate.
2. Listen to his music
- I Don't Fuck With You ft. E-40
- One Man Can Change The World ft. Kanye West & John Legend
- Beware ft. Lil Wayne & Jhené Aiko
- I Know ft. Jhené Aiko
- Play No Games ft. Chris Brown
- Honorable Mention: So Much More
3. Support the Sean Anderson Foundation
You can support the Sean Anderson Foundation. According to the mission, the Sean Anderson Foundation is
"a non-profit 501 (c)3, is to uplift our youth & community, by providing them with the academic & wellness resources necessary, to aid in their journey to becoming their best selves."
The foundation has several programs that strive to serve the community. From the Entertainment Industry Club, Mogul Prep, and Project Knapsack, each program has a deep impact on the metro Detroit community.
4. Go to the 4th Annual DON Weekend
Detroit's On Now (DON) weekend is hosting the three-day event from August 6th through August 28th.
