Those displaying COVID-19 symptoms have a new place to get tested now.

The pharmacy store, Rite Aid, opened a new testing site in Kentwood. According to the company, they opened eleven new locations in 8 states on Wednesday, including two in Michigan.

Rite Aid has the means to conduct 5,000 tests per day amongst all sites. Testing will be done via self-swab at a drive-up in the parking lot. People must remain in their vehicles during this time. You have to pre-register to get an appointment.

The testing is free and meant for people who do not immediate medical attention but meet CDC criteria to be eligible for a test.

The Kentwood location is at 5995 Kalamazoo Avenue, SE. Other Michigan locations where COVID testing is available are: Saginaw, Lansing, Macomb, and Flint.
