Dr. Dre Purchases New Home in Calabasas for $4.9 Million [PHOTOS]

Dr. Dre joins the who's who of entertainers in the Calabasas, CA – including Kanye West, Toni Braxton, and the Kardashians, with the purchase of a new home in a gated community.

The $4.9 million home is 9,400 square feet with a game room, large home theater, gym and of course an home studio for Dre to continue to produce classics. The 6 bedroom/5.75 bathroom home also has a gym and a fireplace in the master suite.

The backyard has a breathtaking mountain view along the three-quarter-acre lot of grass that also holds home to a swimming pool, spa fire pit, barbecue center, and fenced tennis/sports court.

The LA Times reports that the home has been listed for 5.25 million since January. Seven years ago the home sold for a little under $4 million.

This latest purchase adds to the music mogul's real estate collection. Dre owns several of properties in Los Angels including an enormous compound in Brentwood that he purchased from New England Patriots star Tom Brady and model wife Gisele Bundchen for $40 million.

Between music royalties, his Aftermath Entertainment, and his Beats Electronics, the 53-year-old's latest purchase is a light purchase in his ever-growing empire. Check out the pics from the home below.
