It is truly one of the most annoying life experiences to have to deal with fruit flies.

However, there are several ways to avoid and get rid of the disgusting creatures.

Fruit Flies

Fruit Flies are the bane of my existence! You cannot have the good stuff laying out.

University of Kentucky shared what truly attracts the buggers to terrorize your home or workplace.

"Fruit files are especially attracted to ripened fruits and vegetables in the kitchen. But they also will breed in drains, garbage disposals, empty bottles and cans, trash containers, mops and cleaning rags. All that is needed for development is a moist film of fermenting material."

How To Kill Fruit Flies

There are few different ways that you can kill a fruit fly. However, there is one that has been extremely effective for me when I have an issue.

It has to do with apple cider vinegar.

Find a glass or a container that you can put the apple cider vinegar in. You can put an inch of the ACV or honestly however much you want.

After you pour the ACV, you should cover the container or glass with Saran Wrap or some sort of plastic cover so that nothing can get out. You can use Cling wrap or plastic with a rubber band to secure it.

After placing the Saran Wrap, Cling Wrap or plastic, cut slits into it so the flies can get in but have a tough time getting out.

You only have to wait 24 hours or so and you will see a bunch of the nasty flies in the liquid.

Keep repeating the process until the fruitfly problem goes away completely.
